Belpahar railway station is a railway station on the South East Central Railway network in the state of Odisha, India. It serves Belpahar town. Its code is BPH. It has two platforms. Passenger, Express and Superfast trains halt at Belpahar railway station.

Belpahar college offers graduate degrees in commerce and arts. College provides hostel accomodation for both boys and girls students.

Girdhar Lal High School is the oldest school in Belpahar town. GL Government High School was established in the year 1957.

Belpahar English Medium School (School Code OR038) is a co-educational Higher Secondary School (HSC) of Belpahar region in Odisha affiliated to CISCE, New Delhi for ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII). As of 2016, BEMS is headed by Mrs. Rama Karthik, principal, who currently holds the post of the vice president of both Orissa Associations of ICSE Schools (OAICSE) and All India Associations of ICSE Schools (ICSE).

Vivekananda International School was established in 1997. Vivekananda International School is a Co-ed school affiliated to Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). School is situated in the interior of Belpahar town, area where the school actually situated is called Jahaj Padiya. School is about 6 km from the nearest railway station of Belpahar and around 26 km from the Jharsuguda district railway station by road.

B.R. High School follows the curriculum of the Odisha State Board of secondary education and it is the leading Odia medium school in the district of Jharsuguda. The school is located beside the jubilee market and TATA Refractories ground. The school is well connected by roads. B.R High School was established in the year 1968.

Ullapgarh is a hillock about fifteen minutes away from Belpahar Railway Station. It is said that the revolutionaries fighting in the freedom struggle of India took refuge in this hillock. The spaces carved out from the rock face to hold torches can be seen to this day.

Bikramkhol is about 5 km from Belpahar there is a village known as Banjari. In the vicinity of the village, the ancient cave of Bikramkhol is located. In this inaccessible dense forest, ancient people lived surviving on fruits, roots, and animal meat.

JRD TATA Park is one of the biggest park in the Belpahar Municipality township. Built and maintained by TRL Krosaki company. The TATA Park has been closed since the covid 2020 lockdown was introduced and is still close for all visitors.

TRL Stadium is the largest stadium in the Belpahar township. Many District & Sate level Football & Cricket matches are conducted in the stadium. 26th January parade is a customary event on the ground. Nearby residents go for morning & evening walks and children for practicing different sports activities.
